Join us for a four-day weekend getaway to the exclusive Ocean Reef Club on Key Largo. Ocean Reef is a private, gated, members-only enclave at the northern tip of Key Largo, with its own private: airstrip, marina, championship golf courses and other resort facilities. This is a very special venue and one you cannot access without being a member or the invited guest of a member. We have reserved a block of rooms for you with the Inn, starting at $429 per night, plus taxes and fees.
Thursday – we will set off from Boca Raton at 10:30 AM for a group drive down, to arrive in time for lunch at the Palm Court restaurant, where we can observe the boats going in and out of the harbor. After lunch, we will have a chance to rent golf carts, check in to our rooms and get settled. Our welcome reception will commence at 6:00 PM in the Sailfish Room with a view of the marina. We will have a cocktail hour, followed by a dinner with live entertainment. Jackets are encouraged for gentlemen ($295 per person, required). Get a good night’s sleep because we will be up early the next morning.
Friday – will be a boat day, as we set sail at 8:30 AM, with your choice of either a deep-sea fishing excursion on a 38-40 foot sport fish ($275 per person optional) or a relaxing cruise on a catamaran with snorkeling available ($150 per person, optional). We will return to dry land in time for lunch at the casual Beach Bar & Grill. The afternoon will be yours to explore: the beach club, the tennis courts, the golf courses, the spa…you can rent paddle boards, jet skis – the possibilities are endless! Our dinner will be at Gianni’s restaurant at 7:00 PM, and we can cap the evening off with cigars on the patio.
Saturday – the morning is yours until 11:30 AM, when we will hop in the Ferraris for a short rally to an off-property waterfront lunch at Alabama Jacks. Upon returning, your afternoon will again be open to indulge in the myriad activities Ocean Reef has to offer. We are invited to pre-dinner drinks at a member’s private home in the community starting at 6:00 PM, and then our dinner will be at the Islander restaurant at 7:30 PM with (of course) more cigars to follow…
Sunday – we will have breakfast, pack our bags and head for home!
All meals, with the exception of the first night’s welcome reception, will be on individual checks. Throughout the weekend, we will have discounted golf cart rentals available to us at $59 per day + optional insurance (a cart is highly recommended for getting around the community). The club fee is $35 per day + tax and there is a $20 daily service fee. Please review the dress code on Ocean Reef’s website. Be sure to bring reef-safe sunscreen. Space is limited. You will receive a booking link for your room, after registering with us. Activities can be booked ahead of time with Ocean Reef, once your hotel reservation is confirmed; tee times for golf only become available 48 hours in advance, rental clubs are available.
